John C. Workman, DDS

Dr. Workman was born is Boise, Idaho and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is the oldest of eight children. He received his Eagle Scout award and played high school and college basketball. Dr. Workman served two years in New Zealand as a missionary and following his missionary activities he came to work in Chicago where he met his wife Kandy Spencer of Indian Head Park, Illinois. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors degree in Comparative Anatomy and a Minor in English Literature followed by post graduate dental education at Loyola University of Chicago Dental School where he graduated in 1983. Dr. Workman and Kandy have raised five children here in Illinois, have ten grandchildren.(seven boys and three girls)

Dr. Workman maintains a private practice in Glen Ellyn, Illinois specializing in dental implants, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry. His clients come from all over the Chicago land area and throughout the United States. In addition to private practice, Dr. Workman has served as a visiting faculty member at the world renowned Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education (www.Pankeydentist.org) for over five years where he taught other dentists how to treat TMJ and bite problems making it possible for teeth and dental restorations to last a lifetime. He has studied cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry with some of the most outstanding dentists in the world including the United States, Canada, and France. Dr. Workman is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of LDS Dentists, American Equilibration Society, Academy of Osseointegration, and a Faculty Alumus of the prestigious Pankey Institute.

Janet

• Business Assistant

Janet is a well-known face and voice on the phone to many of our patients. She has worked as a Dental Receptionist / Business Coordinator with Dr. Workman since 1984. She coordinates patient scheduling, financial planning and oversees business financial systems. Janet has over twenty-five years of dental experience.

Jane

• Dental Hygienist

Jane has been practicing hygiene since 1978. Her main focus has always been treating her patients with the utmost comprehensive quality care. She has several continuing education hours in peridontal treatment and soft tissue managemnt. Jane graduated with honors from Harper College in Palatine in the the Dental Hygiene program. She was first in her class. Jane is a native from Elmhurst and currently resides there with her family. She has three adult children who are presently working and attending college. Jane likes running Chicago 5K races, playing tennis, biking, and traveling with her family and friends.

Amy

• Dental Assistant

Amy, Dr. Workman's chairside assistant has been working in the dental field since 1999. "I feel honored to work alongside a dentist who is not only kind but, treats each patient with individual complete care." Amy enjoys being creative in her stained glass studio, biking, music, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her husband and two daughters.
